This module aims to combine the fundamental concepts important to an entrepreneur in a simulated business game. On the successful completion of the course an individual should be able to understand the critical interaction of the fundamental concepts important to an entrepreneur for a successful business.

The content include business plans; sales and marketing for a business; accounting, finance and costing for a business and legal issues in a business

  • Identify and validate business ideas and use them to prepare a business plan
  • Explain the basic principles of accounting, finance and costing on the business
  • Prepare a sales and marketing plan
  • Apply the combined concepts in an online business simulation

  • Workload requirements

Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this module is 150 hours typically comprising a mixture of scheduled learning activities and independent study. Independent study may include associated readings, assessment and preparation for scheduled activities. The module requires on average three/four hours of scheduled activities per week. Scheduled activities may include a combination of teacher directed learning, peer directed learning and online engagement.
