The Monash South Africa Student Volunteer Program (MUSVP)

The MUSVP provides an opportunity for you to use your skills to volunteer in and lead the social change programmes. You will be able to join in with a variety of student-led programmes, including the ones listed below.

SATURDAY SCHOOL

Every Saturday, Grade 4-6 learners from surrounding primary schools visit our campus for Maths and Literacy tutoring. 64 MSA students volunteered as tutors in 2016, giving these learners individual attention which allows them to develop a mentoring relationship and track each learner’s development.

ULWAZI TUTORING

Every Student volunteers provide tutoring to approximately 600 local high school learners, teaching Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, English, Geography, Life Sciences, Maths and Physical Science. In 2016, 69 MSA students tutored at Matla Combined School and the Cosmo Multipurpose Centre.

TOMORROW STARTS TODAY
