    Why study Performance Coaching at Work ?

    Managers are under tremendous pressure to develop their staff and inspire them to better, more competitive performance.  Few managers know how to develop their teams and tend to micro-manage them in time of high stress.  This short learning programme will assist learners to develop the coaching skills and tools to empower their teams to grow and take ownership.

    The objective of this programme is to empower learners with the knowledge and tools necessary to coach their teams to better performance in a highly competitive corporate environment.

    Specific learning outcomes of this short learning programme are to:

    • Form an understanding of the practice of personal leadership
    • Experience an intellectual enrichment regarding the ways to develop an awareness and application of personal leadership
    • Understand the ways to initiate or display personal leadership that will enhance flexibility and adaptability in a world of constant change
    • Develop a clear definition for coaching as a way of facilitating learning with adults
    • Develop a comprehension of the role of coaching in personal leadership
    • Gain an understanding of a transformational coaching process
    • Develop an understanding of the most common coaching needs in the workplace environment
    • Acquire the practical skill set to work effectively with people in a coaching relationship

    Anybody involved in coaching staff in the workplace.

    Entry requirements
    • A National Senior Certificate
    • Learners of this programme must be managing teams at their work place
    Assessment to determine competence:
    • Portfolio of Evidence (PoE)
    • Reflective Journaling
