Pasture Science is a scarce skill and very few tertiary institutions offer courses on this subject. Pasture production is a discipline that is interrelated to many disciplines, including soil science, weed science, livestock science and land reclamation and restoration.
The purpose of this programme is to introduce students to the knowledge, tools and techniques needed to manage pastures for optimal sustainable production potential. This programme will provide an understanding of the interrelationships of pastures with other biophysical factors.
