Matthew Cronje is the Human Sciences and Health and Development lecturer in the MSA Foundation Programme. He is currently completing his PhD in Criminology through the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. His interests lie within the field of Criminology and specifically include the Psychological aspects of crime. He has participated in the World Society of Victimology (WSV), Postgraduate Course, since the beginning of its African leg in 2009. He has since then also presented at the WSV symposiums in South Africa, Croatia and the Netherlands as well as the National Gang Crimes Research Centre conference in Chicago. He is also a co-founder of Monash South Africa’s first Criminological and Victimological Student Society, CRIMON. Matthew is a MSA Alumni having completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology and Psychology and Honours in Criminology from MSA.
