Laurence is a lecturer in Political Studies and International Studies at the Faculty of Social and Health Sciences. He has nine years of experience in research and lecturing. Before coming to Monash South Africa, he worked as a research analyst for the Centre for International Political Studies at the University of Pretoria, and Royal Thai Embassy in South Africa. He has also written for the Mail & Guardian and other South African newspapers.
He holds a Master’s degree in Political Studies from the University of Pretoria, and his main interests are in international relations, political theory, and the foreign policies of the great powers. He strongly believes that we can use the insights from IR to solve collective action problems and create a more orderly and prosperous world.
