Position: Student Advisor – MSA Exec (2 Years Fixed Term)

The opportunity

Promote the MSA reputation, image and brand and attract high quality students. To ensure working professional’s student enrolments and meet the agreed targets for the programs and channels of responsibility.

1. Marketing and Promotion

  • Advise the public about Monash South Africa through involvement in formal presentations, tradeshows, and media events;
  • Service various campaigns accounts in your assigned territories to generate leads, applications and enrolments;
  • Build and cultivate relationships with potential organizations and other stakeholders;
  • Represent the institution by travelling to and liaising with staff and working professional at target events to provide campus specific information. Communicate information via
    e-mail, telephone or other channels to set up individual appointments
  • Identify marketing opportunities to attract MSA exec students to Monash South Africa;
  • Contribute to the development of student recruitment and promotional material;
  • Key –in and update the CRM
  • Provide activity and progress reports on a regular basis.
  • Capture and monitor invoices captured
  • Manage project until completion
  • Nurture leads collected and convert them to application and to enrolment
  • Be available for Adhoc projects

2. Enrollment Function

  • Meeting the goals and objectives of Monash South Africa regarding student recruitment:
    Collection of quality leads;
    Lead conversion to application;
    Applicant conversion to enrolment;
  • Key –in and update the CRM;
  • Provide activity and progress reports on a regular basis.

3. Counselling Function

  • Remain current on academic and administrative policies, procedures, and requirements for all academic programs;
  • To provide counselling to prospective students who inquire both on-or off-campus;
  • Ensure high counselling-to-enrolment percentage through consistent counselling and follow ups;
  • Provide advice to students during pre-admission and assist in solving academic and/or financial problems;
  • To provide accurate and sufficient information pertaining to the campus features, academic programs and other Unique Selling Points (USPs) in order to close the sale (to enroll the prospect);
  • Convert quality leads to opportunities, opportunities to applications;
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding institutional information and student files;
  • Provide activity and progress reports on a regular basis.

4. Special Events

  • Plan and implement information sessions;
  • Participate in events that promote the institution such as trade shows, information evenings, and open days;
  • Plan and develop, student recruitment presentations, workshops, partner school events etc;
  • Present timely accurate information about Monash South Africa academic programs, courses, services, training, and other educational opportunities to the target markets and appropriate external contract;
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute on-campus activities and tours for groups and individuals visiting the campus.

  • Campus visit target;

Key selection criteria:

  • Diploma/Certificate in contact center will be an advantage.
  • Candidates with education industry knowledge and 2-3 years working experience in customer service & sales environment would have added advantage.
  • Possess Microsoft package including excel advance
  • Able to multitask and good typing skills
  • Knowledge of sales principles and methods
  • Ability to communicate in clearly and effective manner
  • Business writing skills is essential
  • Good listening skills and able to display patience and empathy when dealing with customers
