The opportunity
The Experiential Learning and Study Abroad Officer, reporting to the Head: Experiential Learning and Engagement, will provide organization, development, implementation and administration of the Experiential Learning and Study Abroad functions at MSA.

The incumbent is responsible for the overall administration of experiential learning placements and the running of the Study Abroad programme for outgoing and incoming students. The incumbent holds administrative responsibilities related to Experiential Learning and Study Abroad. In addition, he or she is responsible for communication with students, faculty and industry as it relates to Experiential Learning and Study Abroad.

Key responsibilities:

The incumbent will be expected to:

  • Conduct all administration related to incoming exchange students and incoming student-industry placements
  • First point of contact students and staff regarding Study Abroad queries
  • Conduct all administration related to outgoing exchange students
  • Keep track of difference in administration related to different partner institutions
  • Be staff and student liaison pertaining to Experiential Learning placements
  • Be first point of contact for Industry partners where students are currently placed
  • Administer and manage all MSA experiential learning & exchange placements
  • Liaise directly with Faculty staff regarding currently placed students
  • Report on and manage any issues arising during student placements
  • Develop Experiential Learning function at MSA, including institutional framework and implementation thereof through staff training initiatives

Key selection criteria:

  • At least an Honors degree in a related field;
  • Experience in administration in a higher education environment would be an advantage
