You will encounter Innovative thought in the unit Innovation, Creativity and Foresight, research ability in Research Methodology and you will work under the guidance of a supervisor on the Innovation Project. The Innovation Project topic, scope and approach must be approved by your supervisor and the organisation involved. Ideally it will be significant and of benefit to the organisation. Students can also engage in an approved industry or select a topic of national or international significance.
The project should involve an environmental scan, identification of a problem or opportunity, applying creative thinking and innovation techniques to prepare a strategy to solve the problem or capitalise on the opportunity. The Project involves a +/- 75 page document. The expected standard is a strategic, implementable innovation strategy or new business plan.

This report will be assessed internally and externally by industry partners.
Minimum total expected workload to achieve the learning outcomes for this unit is 300 hours.
A supervisor will be allocated to each student based on the topic chosen.
